Bangladesh University of Engineering Admission Circular 2021-2022 -BUET Admission Circular 2021-22: Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) has published the admission circular 2021-2022 on the website ugadmission.buet.ac.bd. Due to the global epidemic related to Covid-19, the admission test of Bangladesh University of Engineering will be held in two stages through pre-selection and main admission test in accordance with the health rules.

In this context, pre-selection test will be taken in two shifts. Applicants selected on the basis of merit in the pre-selection test will be given the opportunity to participate in the main admission test. Pre-selection and main admission test will be held on the campus of Bangladesh University of Engineering.

BUET Admission Test Circular 2021-22

Applications are being invited in the prescribed form from Bangladeshi nationals enrolled in the 2021-2022 academic year in the undergraduate classes in various departments of Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Architecture and Planning at Bangladesh University of Engineering. Students who have passed the secondary or equivalent examination in 2018 or 2019 and the higher secondary or equivalent examination in 2021,

Or

Passed Secondary or equivalent examination in 2016 and Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in 2020 but revised results of Higher Secondary or equivalent examination have been published by the Board of Education after 3 May 2021.

Or

GCE “O” level test results from November 2016 or later and GCE “A” level test results from November 2020 to October 2021.

Only they can apply for the admission test subject to other conditions. Students who have already participated in or are eligible to participate in the admission test of this university will not be able to participate in this admission test.

Eligibility to participate in the admission test

(A) Candidate should get Secondary GPA Certificate / Submission from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board / Madrasa Education Board / Board of Technical Education in Bangladesh with a minimum GPA of 4.00 on a scale of 5.00 in the science department (including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry). Must have passed the equivalent examination or have passed the equivalent examination with at least equivalent grade from the Board of Foreign Education

Candidates should have a GPA of 5.00 on a scale of 5.00 in the grade system in the Higher Secondary / Alim / equivalent examination from any Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education / Madrasa Board of Education / Board of Technical Education in Bangladesh. In Chemistry subjects, out of 400 marks, one has to pass the Higher Secondary / Alim / equivalent examination with a minimum total of 362 marks or at least equivalent GAD / marks in the equivalent examination from the Board of Foreign Education.

BUET Admission Circular

Candidates who have passed Secondary or equivalent examinations in 2016 and Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations in 2020 but their revised results in Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations have been published by the Board of Education after 3 May 2021, are eligible for the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. / Madrasa Board of Education / Board of Technical Education Higher Secondary / Alim / Equivalent. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in these three subjects with a GPA of 5.00 on a scale of 5.00 in the Z method and in the secondary / submission / equivalent examination in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 270 marks out of 300 marks in these three subjects in the secondary / submission / equivalent examination. Must pass or pass the equivalent examination from the Board of Foreign Education with at least equivalent grade / number.
All the applicants from 1st to 20,000th will be allowed to participate in the pre-selection test by selecting from among all the correct applicants on the basis of the above prescribed number. For this selection, the total marks obtained in both the subjects of Physics and Chemistry in the Higher Secondary / equivalent examination of the applicant and the marks obtained in Physics respectively will be considered as priority order.

(B) Candidates who have passed GCE “O” Level and GCE “A” Level must have minimum B Grade and GCE in each of at least five subjects (including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English) in GCE “O” Level to participate in the pre-selection test. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are required to pass the A ”level examination with minimum A grade in any two of these three subjects and minimum B grade in one.

All the applicants from 1st to 400th in the pre-selection test are selected on the basis of the above prescribed gad from among all the correct applicants who have obtained GCE “O” level and GCE “A” level test results subject to fulfillment of minimum qualifications.

Pre-selection test

The first 20,000 applicants will take the pre-selection test based on the results of the secondary examination in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. A total of 100 marks will be held in MCQ system and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Final Admission test

The first 6,000 candidates will be able to take part in the final admission test based on the results of the pre-selection test. There will be no MCQ questions in the main admission test and all the questions will be in the conventional written system.

Special Note

1) In the main admission test, all the questions and evaluation of each subject of Module A and Module B will be done in the conventional manner.

2) The value of each question in module A is 10. The value of each question related to free drawing of module B is 80, the value of each question related to visual and spatial intelligence is 10.

3) Only pens, pencils, English, sharpeners and calculators as per appendix-A can be used during the admission test.

4) Any type of electronic and telecommunication device including mobile phone and watch phone, geometry box, pencil box, scale, set-square, compass and any kind of bag cannot be brought in the examination room.

5) Sample questions on all subjects can be found on the University website.

Minimum Eligibility for Application In BUET

SSC: The applicant has to pass with a minimum GPA of 4.00 on a scale of 5.00 in grade system from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Baird / Madrasa Education Baird / Technical Education Baird in Bangladesh.

HSC: Candidates should have obtained 270 marks out of 300 marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Baird / Madrasa Education Baird / Technical Education Baird in Bangladesh and pass at least in Higher Secondary / Alim / Equivalent examination or equivalent examination from Foreign Education Baird. Must get equivalent grade and pass.

However, the first 24000+ people from among the applicants will be given the opportunity to participate in the preliminary admission test.
